Right now I'm using Kdenlive and it's actually a lot smoother. Also, there were some basic effects and features it didn't have, and it doesn't have as much community support as I thought it did when I first installed it. The live playback would freeze up and it crashed a few times, losing me all of my work. Either way, it DID end up getting buggy, and I decided to ditch it recently.
I don't remember why I chose it I think maybe it was the interface looking nice, or the simple workflow, or something where it was officially supported on the Manjaro software repository so I figured it would be less buggy.
